Public organization "Kharkiv Academy of Standardization" (PO "KhAS") began its activities in July 2015.
The purpose of PO "KhAS" is to consolidate the efforts of its members, scientists, manufacturers and consumers for the further development of the economy, industry and technical regulation, including standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and consumer protection, satisfaction and protection of their rights and legitimate interests. .

Budyonny M.M. was elected Chairman of the Committee on Industry and Consumer Protection of the Public Council at the Kharkiv Regional State Administration for 3 of its terms.
During the period of its activity, work was carried out in many areas.
On standardization we work fruitfully with Technical Committees (TC) on standardization. 3 members of the PO"KhAS" are members of three TC.
Members of the organization "HAS" developed 17 national standards of Ukraine.

Members of the PO KhAS conducted more than 40 independent consumer examinations of various goods.
In addition, the Kharkiv Academy of Standardization is constantly working to place information in the media. Interviews and expert comments by the management and members of the PO KhAS are organized, in which the state policy on consumer protection is explained and the results of independent consumer examinations are made public.

Recently, we are conducting outreach work among consumers who have gas meters. The reason for this is that there have been more cases when gas distribution companies examine meters, conclude that there has been interference in their work and impose huge fines on consumers. We have prepared recommendations for consumers on the rules of handling gas meters so that they can protect their rights if they do not interfere with the operation of the meters, and they are accused of it.
Being territorially on the squares State enterprise "Kharkiv Regional Research and Production Center for Standardization, Metrology and Certification", we can use the fund of more than 30 thousand copies of official standards.
